Out now on iOS and Android

Pulse Hero

Train in the real world. Grow a hero in a turn-based RPG. Your steps and workouts become XP, gold, materials and loot — then you spend them on classes, gear and a combat deck.

Free to play · iOS 15+ and Android 8+ · English and Portuguese

The daily loop

Movement becomes progress without turning training into homework.

Connect activity

Optional Health Connect or Apple Health access lets steps, distance, workouts, calories and heart rate count when you train. You can also log a workout in the app and skip the sync entirely.

Claim RPG rewards

Validated movement grants XP, gold, materials, encounters and quest progress. Every credit is checked server-side against plausibility caps, so a leaderboard is worth something.

Build your hero

Spend progression on 13 classes, gear, runes, professions and a four-skill combat deck. Each class has its own passive, signature and skill ladder.

Train with people

Friends, groups, trading and hero-vs-hero duels connect real activity to social goals — without asking you to keep the app open all day.

The library

106 exercises, every one illustrated.

Strength, cardio, conditioning, mobility, mind-body and sport, each tagged by muscle group and equipment — so a plan knows what it is actually asking of you.

Thirteen classes

Flat classes. No tiers, no starter tax.

Each one carries a class passive, a signature skill and four skills on an A/B upgrade ladder. They unlock through physical challenges — not a paywall and not a menu grind.

Nine professions

Gather it, then make something out of it.

Materials come out of the world; gear, potions and runes go back into your build. Both halves run off the same training economy.

Gathering

  • Miner
  • Botanist
  • Hunter

Crafting

  • Armorsmith
  • Weaponsmith
  • Leatherworker
  • Tailor
  • Alchemist
  • Runecrafter

Core systems

Built for quick sessions, with RPG depth when you want it.

Workouts and ambient steps

Record a workout from a plan or free-form, import a supported health session, or just let the day's steps sync for lighter progress. A rules-based coach adapts the plan to what you actually did.

Turn-based combat

Campaign scenes, dungeons, an endless tower and random encounters, all fought with a deck of class skills, statuses, items and gear.

Social and PvP

Friends, groups, trading, hero-vs-hero duels and a weekly arena league that ranks builds instead of reflexes.

Before you install

Straight answers.

Is it free?

Yes. Pulse Hero is free to download and play, with optional in-app purchases. It is not pay-to-win: what makes a hero strong is the training behind it and the build you put together, and nothing in the shop skips that.

Are there ads?

Only rewarded ones, and only if you choose to watch them. There are no forced interstitials, no banners and no ads on app open — a rewarded video is something you opt into for a specific reward, never something that interrupts you.

Do I have to connect a health app?

No. Health Connect on Android and Apple Health on iOS are optional. Without them you can still record workouts directly in the app. If you do connect, access is read-only — Pulse Hero does not write anything back to your health record.

What health data does it read?

Steps, distance (walking/running, cycling, swimming), active and total calories, heart rate, and workout sessions. It is used for your own fitness progress and game progression. It is not used for advertising and not sold. The privacy policy has the full list.

Can I cheat by shaking my phone?

Not usefully. Activity is ingested by the game server and validated against caps and plausibility checks before anything is credited, so the arena and the leagues rank training rather than wrist technique.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. Pulse Hero needs a connection to play: the game server is the authority on your hero, and activity is validated and credited server-side rather than on the device.

Which devices and languages?

iPhone and iPad on iOS 15 or later, and Android 8.0 or later. The app is available in English and Brazilian Portuguese.

How do I delete my account?

From inside the app, or by request. The steps and what gets erased are on the account deletion page.
