Privacy Policy

Introduction

Pulse Hero is a fitness RPG developed by MGS Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what choices you have when using Pulse Hero.

Pulse Hero uses real-world activity to power RPG progress. Because activity, health, and location data can be sensitive, we only request permissions that support app features and we do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create or sign in to an account, we may collect your email address, display name, authentication provider identifier, Firebase user identifier, account status, and basic profile setup information needed to create your hero.

Game and social data

We store your hero, level, classes, builds, inventory, currencies, quests, battles, dungeons, achievements, purchases, friends, teams, guild participation, trades, and related game progress.

Fitness and health data

If you grant permission, Pulse Hero may read activity data from Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iOS, including steps, distance, workout sessions, calories, and heart rate. We use this data to validate workouts, credit rewards, show workout history, calculate fitness summaries, and prevent duplicate or implausible rewards.

Location data

If you start an outdoor workout and grant location permission, Pulse Hero may use location data during that active workout to measure distance, display a route, and support workout-related features. Pulse Hero does not need background location for normal app use.

Camera data

If you grant camera permission, Pulse Hero uses the camera to scan friend or team QR codes. We do not use camera access for advertising or image profiling.

Device, diagnostics, and app data

We may collect app version, platform, device language, timezone, server request metadata, crash or error information, and security attestation signals such as Firebase App Check. This helps keep the service reliable and protect accounts from abuse.

Purchase data

If you make an in-app purchase, we process purchase identifiers, product identifiers, transaction or receipt data, entitlement status, and renewal status through Google Play, Apple, and our server. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

How we use information

• To create and secure your account.
• To sync your hero, inventory, quests, battles, social features, and other game progress.
• To validate activity and credit XP, rewards, missions, achievements, and fitness summaries.
• To import workouts or activity metrics only when you grant health permissions.
• To measure outdoor workouts when you grant location permission and start a supported workout.
• To process purchases and subscriptions.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate rewards, and unauthorized server access.
• To provide support, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.

Health and fitness data limits

Pulse Hero does not sell health or fitness data. We do not use health or fitness data for advertising, marketing profiling, or data brokerage. We use health and fitness data only to provide Pulse Hero features such as workout credit, progress, rewards, history, analytics, and anti-cheat validation.

You can deny or revoke health access in your device settings. If access is denied, features that require activity data may be unavailable or limited, but you can still use supported parts of the app.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share or process information with service providers that help operate Pulse Hero, including:

• Firebase and Google services for authentication, app security, and account infrastructure.
• Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple, when you choose those login methods.
• Google Play and Apple App Store for purchases, subscriptions, receipts, refunds, and entitlement checks.
• Hosting, database, and backend infrastructure used to store and sync game data.
• Health Connect and Apple Health as platform permission systems controlled by your device.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate abuse of the service.

Data retention

We keep account, game, purchase, social, and activity records for as long as needed to provide Pulse Hero, maintain security, support account recovery, satisfy legal obligations, and resolve disputes. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal account and game data from active systems unless retention is required by law, payment records, fraud prevention, or security obligations.

Your choices and controls

• You can grant or revoke Health Connect, Apple Health, location, camera, and notification permissions in your device settings.
• You can stop using social features or remove social connections in the app where supported.
• You can delete your account in the app where available, or request deletion by email.
• You can contact us to ask questions about your data.

Account deletion

To delete your Pulse Hero account and associated game data, use the delete account option in the app profile screen when available, or follow the instructions on our public deletion page.

Children

Pulse Hero is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

International processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the services we operate and the providers we use.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Pulse Hero changes. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, when appropriate, provide notice in the app or on this site.
